Principle & How It Is Experienced

The function of "Principle" is to explain a relationship between an action and its effect.

The relationship explained in a Principle demonstrates consistency between an action and its effect despite changes of situations such as people, time and space.

In the process of learning a principle, there are various levels of ability that I have observed:

  1. Ability to believe in a priciple is not equal to ability to explain a principle.
  2. Ability to explain a principle is not equal to ability to appreciate a principle.
  3. Ability to appreciate a principle is not equal to ability to perform a principle.
  4. Ability to perform a principle is not equal to ability to experience a principle.
  5. Ability to experience a principle is not equal to ability to believe a principle.
  6. An experienced believe is not equal to a blinded believe.

The above explains why each person has different experience on a same principle handed down by wiseones.

My experience in learning a principle is first try to understand its intention, and use its intention to yardstick my thought, my words and my behavior so as to align myself to the principle. Meanwhile, I observe the outcome. It is identical to a process of conducting an experiment. It seems for me that learning a principle is like drinking water, only the person who drinks it will experience its taste and its temperature.

Cheers! Have a great day!
