“和”: Its Implication and Its challenge.

Kanji “和” consists of “禾”and “口”。“禾”carries the meaning of crops and food. “和”symbolizes that food or crops is available for each mouth (“口”), when “和”is in place, harmony and peace will follow.

The challenge of “和”is Greed.

• The Greed is driven by Selfishness.
• The performance of Selfish is Exploitation.
• The result of Exploitation is Suspicious and Jealousy.
• Suspicious and Jealousy provoke Conflict.

The antidote for “Greed” is Thankfulness.

• The Thankfulness is driven by Selflessness.
• The performance of Selflessness is to Serve-others.
• The result of Serving-others is Trustworthiness.
• Trustworthiness is the foundation of Peace.
