The Art of Littering

Littering is an art. Its performance is subjected to creativity. Creativity invites attention from others and it creates an outcome for ourselves and others.

As an example, I litter perishable garbage in many creative ways (and quietly) around my community for the sake of my own convenience. Hence, I make my community untidy and filthy.

As the result of my creativity, the following are few possible outcomes:

1. I will be red handed on the spot and given warning and fine.
2. I will try to be more creative next time, so that I will not to be caught again.
3. People who care less about a clean environment stay in my community.
4. Others who like littering will gradually move into my neighboring area.
5. People who care for a clean environment will move away from my community.
6. When I persist in my behavior, my friends who care for me and wish to help me may eventually leave me，

My living environment will gradually develop into a vicious cycle with a dirtier living environment, more frequent quarrels, more finger-pointing and hostility, tougher enforcement and punishment.

Wise man once said “What you reap is what you sow” which reflects the essence of this vicious cycle accurately. Hence, be mindful before we execute our performance art in a creativity way.
