The Secret of Boiling a Good Soup

I have once asked many of my chef friends who serve in popular restaurants and 5 star hotels about their secrets in boiling a good soup.

Amongs their secrets, I found there were 6 common elements that were said to determine the taste of their soup:

  1. the ingrediants we select
  2. the quantity of these ingredients we add
  3. the sequence of how we put in the ingredients
  4. the duration we boil the ingredients
  5. the will when we cook the ingredients
  6. the feeling when we drink the soup

The above make me think of our life is like boiling a pot of soup too. Being Selfish and Being Considerate are two major ingredients we can choose to add into the recipe of our life. Before we boil a pot of soup for ourselves, it is important for us to know the taste of soup we prefer, so that we select the know-how to manage the ingredients and the cooking process for ourselves.

Cheers! Have a great day!
