Observing Eye & Seeing Eye

Miyamoto Musashi wrote:

"観見二つの事、観の目強く、見の目弱く、遠き所を近く見、近き所を遠く見る事、兵法の専也。"

My experience from the above is:

"Observation and Seeing are different, observing eye is strong, seeing eye is weak, observe far to know near, observe near to know far, this the focus of the art of war."

Application example:

1. When we observe the characteristic of our friends (far), we can see how our mind (near) behave. When we observe how our mind (near) behave, we can see the characteristic of our friends (far).
2. Particle physic observes the smallest to understand the biggest. eg: linear collider projects
3. Astronomy observes the biggest to understand the smallest.
